By the end of 2012, new types of fertilizer enterprise in China a total of about 2300, where SMEs account for more than 95%. 2012 new fertilizer output value of about 64.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 27.0%; sales of 60.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 25.0%; including new fertilizer sales accounted for only about 7% of China's total fertilizer sales. 

In 2012, new fertilizers total capacity of about 1600-1700 tons, which the microbial fertilizer gentle controlled release fertilizer production capacity of 930 and 350 million tons, accounting for new fertilizer 56.4% and 21.2% of the total production capacity; the new fertilizer total capacity is still only China about 5% of the total capacity of the fertilizer. 

Traditional fertilizer applications in the context of China's fertilizer industry overcapacity growth gradually reduced, and the various functions of the new fertilizer gradually been accepted and used, and broad development prospects. 

New fertilizer sales in the next few years the average annual increase will be around 10%, it is expected that the new fertilizer sales in 2015 will reach 900 billion yuan.
