China national grain and Oil Information Center (CNGOIC) released the latest data, Chinese wheat imports 2013/14 year may reach 8000000 tons, the highest level in nearly twenty years, because of the impact of domestic production by bad weather.
CNGOIC 2013/14 year (June to May) Chinese Wheat Import forecast data from the previous 7500000 tons up to 8000000 tons, the highest level since 1995, when imports were 12500000 tons.

The weather this year Chinese wheat producing areas of bad, leading to local wheat crop suffered a great impact, up to 20000000 tons of wheat inedible, accounted for about 16% of total output.
CNGOIC says, this year China may import about 4300000 tons of wheat from America, because USA soft red winter wheat prices. The number of China from imported Australian wheat may be more than 2000000 tons, from the Canadian imports growth estimate is limited, because the Canadian wheat prices.
The agency said, high-quality wheat imports may increase, because of high quality wheat yield decline in domestic.
CNGOIC said, China from America and Australia ordered a total of 4500000 tons of wheat.
