National Development and Reform Commission released information shows that in 2013 China's natural gas production of 121 billion cubic meters, an increase of 9.8%. 

According to statistics run Letters, 2013, 117.8 billion cubic meters of conventional gas, unconventional gas 200 million cubic meters of shale gas, coalbed methane 3 billion cubic meters; imports of 53.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up 25.6 percent, an increase of pipeline gas 24.3%, an increase of 27.0% LNG; gas apparent consumption of 169.2 billion cubic meters, an increase of 12.9%.
