Although the 2017 export tariffs China fertilizer significantly reduced, nitrogen and phosphorus are changed into zero tariff, retaining only the potassium and potassium fertilizer export tariffs, and did not bring the fertilizer export opener. National Customs released the latest statistics show that in January 2017 China's total exports of 1 million 120 thousand tons of fertilizer, a large drop of $53.2%, the export amount of $231 million, down by 61.4%.
According to the analysis, in January China's chemical fertilizer exports fell mainly due to three reasons:
First, the main domestic enterprises. In October last year, the price of urea and other varieties rose sharply, although the international fertilizer prices are also rising, but there is no big domestic. Enterprises in the domestic market sales than exports have a better profit, so most of the fertilizer companies choose to domestic sales, chemical fertilizer exports decreased.
Two international market demand is not good. India is a major exporter of chemical fertilizer Chinese, due to the low price of agricultural products, imports last year and other factors, since last year, India market demand has been relatively flat, since last April to January this year, India urea sales fell 6.5%. Brazil and other Latin American countries is also a major exporter of Chinese fertilizer, the same demand is not prosperous. Therefore, in recent months, China's export orders fell significantly.
Three is the Spring Festival factors. Spring Festival holiday, market transactions to reduce the impact of fertilizer exports. February last year, the Spring Festival, the Spring Festival in January this year, the holiday has also become an important reason for the export of chemical fertilizer in the fall of this year in January.
According to customs statistics, in January this year, China's chemical fertilizer imports also decreased. January China imported a total of 1 million 60 thousand tons of fertilizer, down by $254 million, imports $5.4%, down by 32.8%.
