Due to the execution of embankments and flood water recharge in the Mihe River, the chemical industry parks in Yangkou, Hou and Tianliu Towns had serious water accumulation, some of which exceeded 60 cm. Shandong Union Chemical Group, Shouguang Luqing Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Shouguang Kerui Marine Chemical Co., Ltd., Shouguang Changsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. More than 20 companies, such as the company, were forced to limit production.

In view of the problems in this flood season, the Union Chemical Industry held a special meeting to formulate measures to restore production, and organized fire brigades and enterprise staff to form an emergency rescue team to assist the local government to fight floods and rescue the surrounding people. In August 23rd, consortium donated 1 million yuan for flood fighting.

While striving to remove the accumulated water in the plant, Luqing Petrochemical organized more than 100 rescue commandos, divided into several groups to stick to the forefront of flood control and flood fighting, and donated 1 million yuan to Yangkou Town. According to Shouguang daily, as of August 22nd, local chemical companies contributed more than 3 million 500 thousand yuan.

Aiming at the serious disaster situation of local chemical enterprises, Weifang Economic and Commercial Bureau and Safety Supervision Department organized chemical experts to give safety technical guidance to relevant enterprises. The working group helped Shouguang City to conduct a comprehensive inspection of several chemical industrial parks and carry out key safety inspections of 25 hazardous chemical enterprises. Under the guidance of the working group, enterprises are now actively organizing on-site rectification, which can not be immediately rectified, but also formulated hidden trouble account and deadline rectification measures to ensure that the security risks are completely eliminated.
