The full name of PBAT is poly (butylene adipate co terephthalate).
The chemical structure formula is:
From its chemical structure formula, PBAT is a copolymer of butylene adipate (BT) and butylene terephthalate (BT). It has the characteristics of both PBA (polybutylene adipate) and PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). It has good mechanical properties, high ductility and elongation at break, good heat resistance and impact properties, and excellent biodegradability. It is a fully biodegradable plastic.
As a kind of biodegradable material, PBAT conforms to the international general evaluation standard of "EN13,432" (mainly including aerobic composting under the conditions of 70% relative humidity and 60 ℃, and the biodegradation rate of the material relative to cotton cellulose should reach more than 90% within 180 days), which is of great significance to solving the problem of "white pollution".
Properties:
(1) Milky white or yellowish
(2) PBAT is a semi crystalline polymer
(3) Usually, the crystallization temperature is around 110 ℃
(4) The melting point is about 130 ℃
(5) Density between 1.18g/ml and 1.3g/ml
(6) The crystallinity of PBAT is about 30%
(7) Shore hardness is above 85
