In order to improve the ability of various professional teams to coordinate operations and handle emergencies correctly and effectively, on June 12th, Haoyuan Company conducted a comprehensive emergency rescue drill for the leakage and fire of the outlet valve of benzene storage tank B in the adipic acid workshop in the north area of the park. Assistant General Manager Wu Zhenhan attended the drill and served as the overall commander. Personnel from the company's Safety Department, Production Technology Department, Equipment Power Department, Environmental Protection Department, full-time fire brigade, analysis room, and adipic acid workshop participated in the drill.

During the drill, the central control room received an alarm for flammable and toxic gases in the benzene and cyclohexene tank area. The on-site team leader Zhang Xu and the main operator Liu Lang entered the tank area to inspect and confirm that the flange of the outlet valve of benzene tank B was leaking. When closing the leak valve, the leak suddenly caught fire and Liu Lang was burned, unconscious, and fell to the ground. The central control team leader quickly triggered the SIS interlock in the tank farm, put the fire foam system into use, reported to the workshop director Liu Gang and the dispatcher, started the workshop level emergency plan, organized personnel for initial emergency treatment, evacuated irrelevant personnel and alerted the surroundings of the leaking fire device.

Subsequently, due to the excessive fire, the commander-in-chief ordered the activation of the company level emergency rescue plan for hazardous chemical leakage and fire accidents. The company's fire brigade implemented remote sprinkler cooling, and rescue personnel entered the tank area under the cover of water guns to close the valves. After the open flame is extinguished, post inspection, wastewater treatment, and cleaning work will continue on site, and sewage will be properly disposed of. Afterwards, the company established an accident investigation team to investigate the cause of the accident in accordance with the "four no let go" principle.

Wu Zhenhan pointed out in the summary of the drill that during this drill, personnel at all levels and professional teams cooperated seamlessly, cooperated in combat, followed commands, acted quickly, and dealt with decisively, fully demonstrating excellent emergency response capabilities. Each department should organize employees to study the drill plan carefully and further enhance their overall emergency response capabilities.
