On October 23rd, listed as one project of National “863” plan, Non-sinter and sinter classifying gasification technology has passed the technical test organized by China petroleum and Chemistry Industry Association. The technology solves the puzzles of single raw material and high cost to small-scale nitrogen fertilizer producers. It is another technology improvement in the field.
At present, small-scale nitrogen fertilizer producers face many problems such as raw material supply, energy consumption and environment protection. While raw material problem is the original reason for other problems. Many small-scale producers have to close their companies because of high price of anthracite. For this reason, this field urgently needs new technology. Owned by Heat energy engineering department of Tshinghua university, Beijing Dalike Science and Technology Co., Ltd and Shanxi Fengxi Fertilizer Group Co., Ltd, Non-sinter and sinter classifying gasification technology is a new coal gasification technology with independent intellectual property and one hundred percent domestic production. The technology has been applied in Fengxi Group in June of 2006. On the 23rd of that June, it began run. Until this October 21st, the equipment has been run safely 637 days and produced 203,000 tons methanol. In 2006, its run rate was 94.66% and average load rate was 88.7%. The rates are higher than that of Shell and Texaco technology equipment. China International Engineering Consultation Company has evaluated the equipment and suggests the equipment can compete with Shell and Texaco coal gasification technologies and hopes this technology can be industrially applied as soon as possible. This technical evaluation conclusion is that Non-sinter and sinter classifying gasification technology is advanced and reliable and its operation data reaches national test standards. Experts in this field think that application of this technology can make small-scale nitrogen fertilizer producers use low-price bituminous coal.
Inner Mongolia Ural Mountain Fertilizer Co., Ltd will be the second user of this technology. Now the project is been planed by petroleum and chemical industry departments and will put into production next April.
