Anhui provincial government has officially announced the implementation of "Anhui" second five "energy development plan", 2015, the province's coal production capacity will reach 180 million tons. Meanwhile, Anhui will continue to change according to energy development, promote energy production and use patterns change and build a modern energy industry system.

By 2015, the province's construction scale of the formation of coal 50 million tons, of which new, expanded scale of 26.6 million tons; coal production capacity of 1.8 million tons, up 31.4% over 2010.
Way to promote change in energy development, Anhui will co-ordinate the development and utilization of resources and energy saving, accelerate new energy and renewable energy development and utilization. Expected to "second five" period, the province will add about 28.6 million kilowatts installed capacity of electric power, including coal-fired thermal power installed capacity of 25 million kilowatts, installed capacity of 1.5 million kilowatts of wind power, biomass power generation installed capacity of 750,000 kilowatts. By 2015, the province's electricity installed capacity of 58 million kilowatts or so. New gas pipeline 2200 km, 2015, the total mileage of 3,000 kilometers.
In addition, the energy output of the species, Anhui plans to mine gas extraction in 2015 reached 800 million cubic meters, gas extraction efficiency of 40%; the whole society amounted to 288.7 billion kwh electricity, an average annual increase of 14.5%; oil production is 600 million tons, an average annual increase of 14.9%; in the province's total energy consumption on total energy demand of about 139 million tons of standard coal, the whole society reached a total of 207.5 billion kwh electricity.
