"Coal market in mid-2015 Seminar" held recently in here, China (Taiyuan) Coal Trading Center released a standard coal quality premiums and discounts. This study fills the domestic blank, to further improve the quality of coal pricing mechanism.

According to reports, premiums and discounts coal quality standards are an important part of the price system of coal trading in spot trading in coal, can be a reasonable price for different quality indicators of commercial coal; coal futures, for delivery of material and subject matter determining the difference between a reasonable price; in the quality of commercial disputes between the two sides of supply and demand, can provide effective reference standard for the resolution of disputes.

Premiums and discounts coal quality standards, to build a series of transactions in line with coal of different quality indicators reference price range, can improve the quality of commercial coal pricing mechanism; whole society to provide fair and transparent coal pricing information, promote market-oriented coal development trade system and the price mechanism; for the protection of the scarcity of coal mining, to explore the value of high-quality coal resources, reflecting the competitive prices, to avoid disorderly competition between coal enterprises to create good conditions.

Previously, this study is still blank at home and abroad, to overcome this problem, China (Taiyuan) Coal Trading Center set up a special research group, to carry out independent coal quality premiums and discounts for the development and formulation of standards.
