"This year, Shanxi closed 27 coal mines and withdrew 22 million 650 thousand tons of production capacity. In the past two years, Shanxi has closed 52 coal mines and withdrew 45 million 900 thousand tons of production capacity. In the first October of this year, the output of raw coal in Shanxi province was 7.27 billion tons, an increase of 9.6% over the same period last year, and the sales of commercial coal completed 6.55 million tons, an increase of 8.41% compared with the same period last year. The profit of coal enterprises was 23 billion 367 million yuan, an increase of 25 billion 661 million yuan compared with the same period last year.
The coal industry has turned its losses as a whole, but it is still not trapped. Wang Shouzhen believes that at present, Shanxi's coal industry is not yet out of the development mode and inertia thinking to get rid of the difficult situation by expanding scale, increasing production and raising prices. The coal market is still uncertain, the task of transformation and upgrading is arduous, especially the energy structure adjustment and environmental constraints have put forward new challenges to the coal industry.
