After the Spring Festival urea enterprises operating rate increased significantly, the yield increased rapidly. According to the survey and statistics of the relevant agencies, in February 22, 2018, the domestic urea enterprise started the operation rate by 56.3%, 10.3% higher than that before the Spring Festival, and the daily output increased by 25 thousand tons. Among them, the start rate of coal head enterprises was 65.6%, 8.9% higher than that of last week, 27.7% of the start rate of air head urea, and 13.9% higher than that before the festival.

Urea operating rate rise, mainly due to the recovery of gas from urea production. Since last winter, the supply of natural gas has been particularly tense, industrial gas is used for civil gas, and the gas head urea plant is stopped in large area. In the first ten days of February, the operation rate of the national air head urea was only 16.5%, which was down 28.1% from the same period, and the low start rate was rare in history. During the Spring Festival, the temperature rose, the supply of natural gas to ease; and the national development and Reform Commission and other 12 departments jointly issued the "on 2018 spring fertilizer production supply and price stability work notice", will give priority to the supply of fertilizer gas as the object, on the other industrial gas front, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Henan and other parts of gas the head of the urea plant gradually resume production. It is reported that in Henan Zhongyuan urea plant has shipped, Nissan increased 1700 tons; Sichuan Lutianhua device shipments, Nissan increased 2300 tons; Sichuan Dazhou 37yo device shipments, Nissan increased 1100 tons; Chongqing Jianfeng urea unit shipments increased 4000 tons, nissan.

In addition, head of coal urea plant operating rate also increased. Hebei Zhengyuan Cangzhou Yangquan coal plant, Nissan increased 2300 tons; Shandong Luxi Chemical urea plant continue to increase, the current production reached 2300 tons full load production; Henan xinlianxi 2 million 100 thousand tons of urea equipment, daily output of 6600 tons.

Festival starts than before although urea increased significantly, but compared with the same period last year, the yield is still declining. At present, the daily production of urea in China is about 140 thousand tons, and the output of the same period in the same period last year is 158 thousand tons, with a difference of 18 thousand tons.

Late urea production continues to increase, there are still uncertainties. The main reasons are two points: first, whether the gas head urea will be stable or not. The February 13th announcement, a wholly owned subsidiary of Yunnan Yuntianhua Co. Ltd. for Shuifu gas unit restoration of gas supply, an annual output of 500 thousand tons of synthetic ammonia plant, with an annual output of 800 thousand tons of urea plant has resumed production.  But the company also said that if the extremely cold weather, will the continuity and stability of Shuifu Yuntianhua natural gas supply is affected, may be shut down again. The company had stopped production since December 11, 2017 because of a shortage of natural gas. The two is the urea conversion to liquid ammonia. Since last August, the market trend of liquid ammonia is very strong and the price has been innovating repeatedly. Because the benefit of producing liquid ammonia is better than that of urea, many urea enterprises in Fujian, Yunnan, Sichuan, Jiangsu and Anhui will focus on liquid ammonia production and reduce the output of urea. If this phenomenon continues, the production of urea will not increase significantly.
